Beautiful handmade pottery from the Oxfordshire countryside
Handmade pottery from an independent maker in Oxfordshire
Discover the beauty and simplicity of handmade pottery created by an independent maker based in Oxfordshire. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to bring elegance, warmth, and functionality into your everyday life.
Rooted in a love for craftsmanship and minimal design, my ceramics are made to be used and cherished. Whether it’s a perfectly balanced mug for your morning coffee or a refined platter for entertaining, these pieces are made to elevate daily rituals with quiet beauty.
Inspired by natural tones and simple forms, my collection of functional ceramics blends traditional techniques with a modern, understated aesthetic. Each item is shaped by hand and finished with my own unique glazes, developed in-studio to create subtle textures and depth. No two pieces are ever the same, giving each one a distinctive character.
From minimalist bowls and plates to statement pieces that bring life to a shelf or dining table, my pottery complements any space and lifestyle. Whether you prefer clean lines or organic forms, these ceramics add a thoughtful, handcrafted touch to your home.
The making process
All of my work is wheel-thrown by hand in my Oxfordshire studio, using high-quality stoneware clay chosen for its strength and versatility. Each piece is carefully shaped on the pottery wheel, allowing me to refine its form with precision while embracing the subtle variations that give handmade pottery its charm.
Once shaped, the pieces are dried slowly and trimmed, then bisque fired to harden the clay. After that, each item is dipped or brushed with my own self-formulated glazes, which I've developed to highlight texture, tone, and tactile finish.

I am Kathryn, a potter from the Oxfordshire countryside, crafting beautiful, handmade and functional ceramics.
My glazes are unique and created by myself in my studio.
